Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research and Development (R&D) Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Medical Devices sector. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and developing innovative medical devices from the ground up. You will be involved in every step of the device development process, from conceptualization to prototype testing, with a focus on creating products that enhance patient care and improve clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conceptualize and Design: Develop initial concepts for new medical devices, using a blend of creative thinking and technical knowledge.
  2. Prototype Development: Construct and test prototypes, iterating designs based on testing outcomes and feedback.
  3. Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on existing technologies and market needs to inform design decisions.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical experts, to ensure the practicality and efficacy of device designs.
  5. Compliance and Standards: Ensure all designs comply with relevant medical device regulations and standards.
  6. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation throughout the development process for regulatory approvals and patent applications.
  7. Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in medical technology to incorporate cutting-edge solutions in device development.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in medical device R&D, with a portfolio of successful device developments.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
  • Knowledge of medical device regulations (e.g., FDA, CE marking).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Innovative thinker with a passion for healthcare technology.
